I build backend systems in Java. Event streams in, reliable services out.
I’m Saumay. I write Java, mostly the backend kind: Spring Boot and Kafka on PostgreSQL, shipped through Docker and CI. Right now two builds are open on my desk. One is a payments reconciliation engine that matches bank statements to ledger entries and routes the breaks to exception cases. The other is QuantumLab, a desktop lab for quantum measurement. The last thing I finished was ChaosLab, a three-body simulator that keeps numerical error and real chaos apart on screen.
I learned how I want to build during close to two years in production support at HCLTech (Aug 2022 – Jul 2024), on a Fortune Global 500 account, running root-cause analysis on 30+ incidents a month. Spend long enough reading other people’s logs and you start writing systems the next person can actually understand. So everything here is observable, tested, and clear about what it hasn’t measured yet.
The physics labs started as a way to understand things properly: the zeros of the zeta function, why three bodies never settle down, what a measurement really does. They follow the same rule as my backend work. No number goes on screen unless a test produced it.
In December 2026 I join Wrisk Limited in Noida as a Technical Support Engineer. Further out, I’m heading toward solution engineering: sitting with a customer, working out from first principles what their system has to do, and shipping it into their environment instead of handing over slides.
